In 1955 it was then split and renamed Services for the Blind and Visually Handicapped and The Transvaal Indian Blind Association.

Goodie Bags for Cape Town based events are packed by Alta Du Toit After-Care, a facility focussing on the needs of intellectually disabled adults, who may be multi-disabilities.

The Home of the Goodie Bag...

Monica Childs Marketing based in Cape Town, has been the sole distributor of the Goodie Bag at sixteen major national sporting events for 18 years. We offer retail and FMCG marketing companies a unique vehicle to launch and promote products.

We have distributed into the hands of the consumer just over 3.5 million Goodie Bags with a retail value of R 608 million.

 

What is a Goodie Bag?

The Goodie Bag is a Life Style Pack aimed at the general consumer. It is a highly-targeted and cost-effective vehicle for exposing products to a specific demographic market segment. By trialing product samples and promotional material and placing them directly into the hands of a captive audience, we enhance the call to purchase and alleviate the stress of decision making and risk of making a wrong choice. It is a sampling platform that enables the FMCG industry to reach the general consumer.

For Johannesburg events, we work with Services for the Blind, who run extensive training programs in skills of daily living, mobility, Braille and entrepreneurial development.
